A Message To Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts

Governor Pete Ricketts (Regressive Party) went on CNN this weekend and said if Roe v Wade is overturned, Nebraska will outlaw abortion without exception. When pressed about victims of rape and incest, Ricketts repeated his support for the “pre-born,” and assured women that if they are impregnated during an act of sexual violence in Nebraska, he doesn’t care about them at all.
Pete, may I call you Pete? You are a misogynistic pile of shit. You didn’t even bother to trot out the old “rape and incest are horrible and we want to do everything we can to help victims” line. You just smirked as you ignored the trauma of rape and incest, your thin lips curling up in an insipid grin.
You said the quiet part out loud, Pete. You forgot to pretend to care about victims of rape and incest, and you forgot to lie about how making abortion illegal is all about keeping women safe. I’m sure it can be difficult trying to mimic human emotion on cable news. Poor you.
